" About us "

The farm pension ‘Haus am Einberg’ was founded in 1962.
Josef Berens and his family – his mother, his siblings, and his wife, whom he had married shortly before – moved to the Einberg.
The cramped conditions of the old farm within Grevenstein made
farmer Berens resettle outside of town. During this process the family immediately considered the possibility of renting out rooms; the
farmland was too small to get along financially.

The family built the main house including a holiday apartment and guest rooms with 14 beds in total. Postcard of "Haus am Einberg"

These rooms are on the ground floor – most of them with balcony and a marvelous view of the valley, because the farm lies on 420 m above sea level and the house is built into the slope. In the basement at the valley side you can find the dining room, the lounge with TV and the private rooms of the hosts. The holiday apartment has its own entrance, it can, however, be accessed through a corridor of a different part of the house.
Thus, the rooms of the apartment can be rented out individually if necessary or groups up to 20 people can rent the whole house
(e.g. for family celebrations).

In 2000, Hanno Berens, the youngest son, took over the business
from his father together with his wife Fabiana.
